What to do if you are arrested

There is no obligation for you to take part in any recorded interview with Police without getting legal advice first.  We provide a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week telephone service.  Telephone our office on (07) 5527 0020.  If outside of business hours, your phone call will be diverted to the lawyer on call.

Generally, the only information that you must provide to police is:-

  • Your full name;
  • Your address; and
  • Your date of birth.

You may also be required in certain circumstances to provide information about the identity of an owner or driver of a motor vehicle, or to answer any question asked by a Police Officer in order to obtain information in relation to a traffic incident.

Telephone our legal representative on (07) 5527 0020 before you answer any further questions.
